Description

This is a sole source synopsis for the acquisition of commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this announcement. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis for this requirement; and is issued for notification purposes only. The Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARFORSOC) intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract to purchase maintenance and support services for four (4) IDXA Bone Density Scanners. Alpha Source Inc. is the exclusive authorized service provider for GE Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD) Products. Estimated support services are as follows: The services provided are for preventative and corrective maintenance per the statement of work on a GE Healthcare IDXA unit. A sole source contract is deemed appropriate as no other vendor is able to satisfy the Government�s requirements. One (1) Purchase Order (PO) contract (Base plus Four) utilizing Firm Fixed Price Contract Line Items is anticipated. Place of performance is Sneads Ferry, NC. Period of performance is 22 Aug 2023 � 22 Aug 2028. The estimated award date is scheduled for 30 Jun 2020. Classification Data: NAICS Code: 541990 FSC Code: L049 SBA Applicability & Size Standard: $19.5M This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement or an exception to the Government's intent to purchase on a sole source basis within three (3) days of this notice. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government is not responsible for any cost incurred for submissions in response to this notice.
