Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE in support of the Buffalo VAMC in Buffalo, NY and Batavia VAMC Batavia, NY for market research purposes only to determine the availability of potential businesses with capabilities to provide the requirement described below. Potential offerors are invited to provide feedback via e-mail to Stephanie.Decker2@va.gov. Responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. All responses due by 16 June 2023 at 14:00 EDT. Potential contractors shall provide, at a minimum, the following information: 1) Company name, address, and point of contact, phone number, e-mail address, and SAM ID. 2) Anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 812332 Industrial Launderers. If you believe a different NAICS is more appropriate, please indicate with your response. Is your firm eligible for participation in one of the following small business programs? The Capabilities Statement for this sources sought is not expected to be a Request for Quotations, Request for Proposals or Invitation for Bids, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach, but rather the Government is requesting a short statement regarding the company s ability to provide the services outlined below. Any commercial brochures or currently existing marketing material may also be submitted with the capabilities statement. Submission of capabilities statement will assist our office in tailoring the requirement to be consistent with industry standards. The capabilities will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining to Set-Aside for the Small Business (SB) Community or to conduct as an Unrestricted Procurement. Other than small businesses may respond to this notice in the event the market does not indicate SB interest. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. Note: Do not include Proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information in responses. Not responding to this Sources Sought does not preclude participation in any future or potential solicitation, or Request for Quotation. It is the intent of the VA to use the information gathered for market research purposes only. If a formal solicitation is released, it will be posted via the Contracting Opportunities website located at SAM.gov. DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUIREMENT: Statement of Work Background: The Buffalo VA, 3495 Bailey Ave, Buffalo, Ny 14215 and Batavia VA, 22 Richmond Ave, Batavia, NY 14020 requires Floor Mat Service for these two locations. The service that is needed is the removal, inventory, placement of floor mats. Vendor will deliver floor mats, remove dirty mats, and maintain inventory on site. Service will be flexible, as wintertime will require more visits. Scope of Work: Contractor shall furnish all parts and labor to accomplish the task of Traffic Floor Mats. Vendor will conduct onsite survey to determine weekly inventory needs. Once inventory is determined, a weekly demand schedule will be determined, and a delivery schedule will be developed and presented to the director. Once inventory & delivery schedule is complete, Vendor will order inventory for initial program start up. Upon installation, vendor will deliver weekly agreed upon clean mat inventory which quantities can be adjusted as the customer sees fit at any time. Floor mat quantities and service frequency can change as needed and can be placed on hold at any time. Vendor will be given an area for floor mat storage. On the scheduled service days vendor representative will deliver clean floor mats to the designated areas throughout the facility. Service representative will roll up dirty soiled mats and place fresh clean mats down each service. Vendor will transport all soiled product and will abide by all OSHA safe handling procedures. Upon receiving soiled inventory back to the vendor processing facility, all products are then process through a wash process that exceeds Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines. All inventory is hand-inspected after each wash to meet quality assurance standards, no frayed or stained mats. Vendor will proactively discard and reinject inventory that needs to be replaced due to normal wear & tear. Safety Requirements In performance of this contract, vendor will follow all applicable OSHA safe handling procedures when loading, unloading, and moving floor mats.
