Description

NASA/MSFC has a requirement for an Electrohydrodynamic (EHD) ink jet tool head for use with the nScrypt printing platform for the purpose of testing new deposition tools on parabolic test flights. The tool head must print thin traces of metal and dielectric materials with a resolution of 300 ?m or better. In addition, the tool head must be rugged enough to withstand the parabolic flight environment, capable of being integrated into the small volume of the nScrypt printing platform, and perform well in microgravity. NASA/MSFC intends to issue a sole source contract to acquire the Electrohydrodynamic (EHD) ink jet tool head Under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1). The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Wyatt Farrior at charles.w.farrior@nasa.gov not later than 2:00 p.m. CST on June 26, 2023. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
