- This is a Sources Sought notice; there is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for solicitation will receive no response. This Sources Sought notice is published for market research purposes only. This market survey is conducted to identify potential sources capable of meeting the requirements for providing Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Air Cylinders. The product specifications are listed below for better understanding of the needs of Aviano AB and the respondent's potential ability to meet the Government's requirements.� DETAILS: All prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database to be awarded a DoD contract. The National American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this action is 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing (Is this the most applicable NAICS? If not, what would be?) Also is this prodyct available on any type of GWAC (Governmentwide Acquistion Contract)? If so, which ones, and do they allow for OCONUS delivery? Vendor must be able to provide 32 Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Air Cylinders, to meet the specifications below:� Minimum requirements: Lightweight 60 minutes Cylinder Valve assembly 88 cubic feet, 4500 pounds per square inch Less Air Stealth Carbon Wrapped Prospective contractors are cautioned to ensure that the proper NAICS code appears in their SAM report. All interested parties shall submit a capabilities package. Interested contractors shall submit up to a maximum 4 page capabilities document. The capabilities package shall be brief and concise, yet clearly demonstrate an ability to meet the stated requirements. The package shall include not only capability, but also a summarized plan of how the capabilities will be met. Include the following in your statement of capabilities: Company Name; Address; Point of Contact; Telephone number; E-Mail Address; CAGE Code; Web Page URL. Please submit one (1) electronic copy of your response to vincent.gans@us.af.mil and biannica.barksdale@us.af.mil no later than 21 June, 2023 at 4:30 PM CET. CONCLUSION: The Government will neither award a contract solely on the basis of this notice nor will it reimburse the contractor for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. This notice does not constitute a Request for Quotation, nor does this issuance restrict the Government's acquisition approach. The Government reserves the right to reject in whole or part any industry input as a result of this announcement. If the Government decides to award a contract for this effort, a solicitation will be issued at a later date.
