Description

This synopsis is to inform that NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk (FLCN), Contracting Department, Norfolk, VA 23511-3392 awarded an other than full and open competition Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract for Security Maintenance Services for Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC). The procurement was acquired in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart Subpart 13.5 - Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. Contract N0018923F0513 was awarded on 31 May 2023 resulting from solicitation N0018923Q0033 to Johnson Controls Building Automation Systems in the amount of $547,746.18. The contract action includes a 12 month base year and four (4) 12-month option periods and the FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services, thereby allowing a six (6) month extension if circumstances necessitate this option. No set-aside was used for this contract action. The statutory authority permitting this sole source action is 41 U.S.C. 1901, Simplified Acquisition Procedures - a sole source acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures for the acquisition of commercial items, as implemented by FAR 13.501(a). The base period of performance is 01 June 2023 to 31 May 2024 and the primary place of perfomance is Surface Combat Systems Training Command, Virginia.
