Description
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) intends to negotiate solely with Charm Sciences, Inc., 659 Andover Street, Lawrence, MA 01843 to obtain the following items for the USDA FSIS Office of Public Health Service (OPHS) Labs: Kidney Inhibition Swab Test Kits The Government intends to purchase Kidney Inhibition Swab (KIS) Test Kits for testing for broad spectrum antimicrobial drugs such as beta lactams (both penicillins and cephalosporins), aminoglycosides, macrolides, tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones, sulfonamides, etc. in fresh or thawed kidney tissue. The items are sole proprietary to Charm Sciences, Inc. and is the only known source which can provide the required services to the current requirements. This procurement will be conducted under the authority of FAR 13.5. The period of performance will be for a twelve-month base period plus four 12-month option years. �The following items are required to perform the necessary testing: 1)�������� KIS� Test kits, #KIS-100 2)�������� Negative Controls (sold in packages with 4 tablets), #NGKIS-4 3)�������� Digital Incubator, 20 Place, #INC-110-20 4)�������� Contractor shall specify any maintenance/replacement contingencies associated with purchase.� (This would include warranty information on the model(s) proposed). 5)�������� Contractor shall provide and continue to provide all information and any updates as to the test�s testing capability and should include at a minimum � compounds detected, applicable detection levels in comparison to established tolerances, selectivity data, all quality assurance acceptability information, certificates of analysis if applicable, shelf life of test, and storage requirements (refrigeration or freezing). This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Request for copies of this solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. The Government does not intend to pay for information received. All interested parties must respond within five (5) calendar days from the date of this notice. Written responses must provide clear and concise documentation indicating your firm's capability to provide the proprietary services. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to announcement #123A9423Q0041. If no viable responses have been received in response after Thursday, June 22, 2023, 2:00 pm E.S.T to this announcement, USDA/FSIS shall negotiate solely with Charm Sciences, Inc.
