THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR BIDS. THERE WILL NOT BE A SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS, OR DRAWINGS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Baltimore District, is seeking sources with current relevant qualifications, experience, personnel, capabilities, and products to furnish and install miscellaneous Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E), of brand name for Nucraft ONLY, for the renovation of JBM-HH Consolidated Dining Facility. The contractor shall supply all FF&E and ancillary accessories for a fully functional dining and administrative facility that is complete and usable. The USACE, Baltimore District, requests letters of interest from potential qualified commercial furniture contractors. Responses to this Sources Sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Therefore, the type of set-aside decision to be issued will depend upon the capabilities of the responses to this notice. This Notice does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ); it does not guarantee the future issuance of an RFQ; nor does it commit the Government to a contract for any supply requirements. Further, the USACE Baltimore District will not accept unsolicited quotes. Respondents are advised that the USACE Baltimore District will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this Notice; all cost associated with responding to this Notice will be solely at the responding party�s expense. At this time, propriety information is not being requested and respondents shall refrain from providing propriety information in response to this Notice. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. Not responding to this Notice does not preclude participation in any future Solicitation, if any is issued. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the U.S. Government to form a binding contract. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this notice. Prior Government contract work is not required for submitting a response to this source sought notice. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The USACE, Baltimore District, has been tasked to solicit and award the equipment furnish and installation services for this project. The renovated Building 404 is an approximately 34,877 square feet (SF) Dining/Administrative facility. Upon completion of the renovation, the Joint Base Myer -Henderson Hall (JBMHH) Consolidated Dining Facility (DFAC) will occupy 18,951 SF of the facility, the Kitchen Training Lab an additional 1,877 SF. The remaining space will be programmed as administrative and storage spaces. This Project will consist of furnishing and installing brand name only commercial furniture for the performance refrigerated food service credenzas to Nucraft and signage and demountable walls. These items will be procured and installed within Building 404 office and administrative areas. The furniture is miscellaneous in nature and is a minimal amount (as necessary to augment a larger overall furniture contract that is not in this scope). All incidental work such as connecting to the building infrastructure/utilities in-place will be included in the scope. The majority of the building is designed and currently being constructed to function, as a full-service dining facility, where food is prepared and served on site with the rest of the space dedicated to administrative and storage spaces. The FF&E items includes: Performance refrigerated food service credenzas (Nucraft) brand only Signage Demountable walls Scope of work Period of Performance will be 365 calendar days. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 449110 � �Furniture Retailers� which has a small business size standard of $25,000,000. Responders should address ALL the following in their submittal: 1. Supplier/Vendor�s name, address, point of contact, phone number, e-mail address, CAGE code and UEI number. 2. In consideration of NAICS code 449110 with a size standard in dollars of $25,000,000, indicate which of the following small business categories your business is classified under (if applicable): Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Services Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Woman-Owned Small Business, HUBZone Small Business, or 8(a) Business. 3. Provide a letter from the Surety Company regarding the bonding capability for a single contract action and aggregate of the interested manufacturer/dealer. 4. Capability statements shall provide at least four (4) examples, but no more than six (6) examples of projects similar to the requirements described above within the past 10 years. Include point of contact information for each of the examples, as past performance on indicated projects may be verified.� Contractors with unsatisfactory past performance may not be considered capable of successfully performing this type of work. 5. Responders should have experience in the areas listed below and provide narratives identifying that specific experience: � � a. Successful experience with the Government submittal process. � � b.� Successful experience furnishing and installing commercial FF&E. � � c.� Successful experience installing FF&E on construction sites with concurrent construction activities and/or installs, coordination with GC and other trades and limited laydown areas. � � d. Shall have highly skilled furniture representatives with current knowledge of today�s manufacturer�s furniture and equipment. � � e. Successful experience offloading furniture from a truck, moving the furniture to the delivery location in the space, uncrating or unboxing the furniture then removing all trash, boxes, etc. and setting up the furniture according to the manufacturer`s specification followed by testing the equipment to verify that it is operational. Equipment installation paperwork & warranty information provided to approved government contact onsite.�� � � � f. Successful experience coordinating and confirming utility location and infrastructure in-place within the renovated facility. � � � g. Successful experience providing installation, maintenance, repairs, sales, and calibration for commercial FF&E. Narrative shall be a maximum of ten (10) pages (8.5 x 11� pages with a minimum of 11 pt. font).� Comments will be shared with the Government and the Project Management Team (PMT), but otherwise be held in strict confidence.
