Description

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announces its intention to negotiate and issue a sole source award to The National Poison Data System (NDPS) a division of America�s Poison Center, 4601 North Fairfax Drive Suite 630 Arlington, VA 22203 for their American Poison Center Database Search. The query will identify the number and severity of unintentional poisoning cases in children 5 and under who have been exposed to methyl salicylate or camphor or the combination of both chemicals. The National Poison Data System is the data warehouse for the nation�s 55 poison centers. Each poison center submits de-identified case data to NPDS after providing necessary poison exposure management and information services to callers. This case information is uploaded to NDPS in near real time. It is unique that this data is the data is uploaded within 9.5 minutes which is important to identify emerging hazards. No other provider will satisfy CPSC�s requirements. CPSC intends to negotiate this requirement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) Only One Source. The sole source procurement will be awarded as a simplified acquisition in accordance with FAR Subpart 12 & FAR Subpart 13 procedures.� Interested persons may identify their interest and submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to meet this requirement.� This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within seven (7) business days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government.� A determination by the government not to compete this proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Any quotation/response must be in writing and can be sent via email to the Contract Specialist at lglasgow@cpsc.gov by 5pm Eastern Time June 29, 2023. No phone calls will be accepted.�
