PLEASE NOTE: BID OPENING DATE HAS BEEN UPDATED/EXTENDED. PROJECT BIDS ARE DUE NLT 7.21.2023 @9AM EAST TIME. ALL BIDS ARE REQUIRED TO BE EMAILED TO ANGIE.CARPENTER@VA.GOV BY THE DATE OF BID OPENING. NO LATE BID ARRIVALS WILL BE CONSIDERED. PLEASE NOTE: Bid Opening Update - Project bids are due NLT 6.21.2023 @ 9:00 AM Eastern Time. Bid opening date/time has been updated due to Federal Holiday. PLEASE NOTE: Updated Project Specs have been posted as of 5.25.2023. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 10 has a requirement to Renovate Heated Indoor Swimming Pool and Recreation Hall (Project 538-20-201) at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center, 17273 St. Rt. 104., Chillicothe, OH 45601-9718. The contractor shall completely prepare the site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing items, and furnish labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete all new construction which includes, but is not limited to, architectural, electrical, and plumbing as shown on drawings and specifications. The general scope of this project includes modernizing updates to the Recreation Hall (Building 9) to include safety/security upgrades to windows and doors, a replacement canopy, and curbed barriers at the main entrance. Updates to the heated indoor swimming pool (Building 247) include relocating or replacing most of the pumping equipment, piping, and temperature controls, changing to an automated chemical metering system, rerouting of excess water drain points and visually refreshing the tile and drains surrounding the pool surface. The work shall include infection control and dust prevention measures as well as construction noise, vibration management and asbestos abatement, and will include phasing to accommodate the Medical Center�s on-going operations.� Multiple outages that must be pre-coordinated with the medical center will also be required.� � All work shall be closely coordinated with VA Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer�s Representative (COR). DURATION OF PROJECT: All work shall be completed within the Period of Performance (POP) indicated in the solicitation. Estimated PoP Base bid work to be completed within 365 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed.
