Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Undersea Special Mission Systems Program Office (PMS390) is hosting an industry day to discuss modernization of the Submarine Rescue System (SER) program. The intention of this event is to provide a program overview and the anticipated modernization needs and objectives of submarine rescue assets. The Navy is interested in understanding industry perspectives and innovative ideas in achieving the best balance of capabilities and cost for the requirements. Schedule: The Navy intends to conduct an industry day on November 16th, 2022, beginning at 0830. The event will be hosted by Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Serco, one of the Team SUB support contractors. The industry day will be held at the Serco office located at 1100 New Jersey Ave SE, Washington, DC 20003. Each company will be limited to a maximum of three representatives. RSVP to Serco by email at navsea_industryday@serco-na.com no later than 1200 noon EST on November 10, 2022. RSVPs shall include the name, email address, phone number, company and position for each attendee. Each representative attending must bring a photo ID for check in. No audio/visual recording devices of any kind will be permitted. Thirty minute one-on-one meetings with the government will be available upon request. The purpose of an individual meeting is to discuss contractor capabilities and ideas to achieve the Navy�s modernization goals. To request a one-on-one meeting time with PMS 390 in advance, please include a request with the RSVP emailed to: navsea_industryday@serco-na.com. The government will provide an opportunity for industry comments, concerns, and questions. Instructions will be given at industry day regarding the submission of any questions. Industry Day Agenda: 0830 � 0900 Registration 0900 � 0930 Welcome and Opening Remarks 0930 � 1030 Introduction, SRS History and Overview, ARA San Juan Case Study 1030 � 1045 Break 1045 � 1130 PMS 390 SRS Modernization Program 1130 � 1300 Break 1300 � 1600 Industry and Government One-on-One Meetings Note:� Times listed above are EDT and may be changed if necessary. Discussions and questions may be recorded by the Government.� The Government may post a sanitized version of questions received - removing any indication of the company that submitted the question and any company proprietary information - of all questions and answers resulting from the industry day.� Security Requirements:�The event will be unclassified. Foreign nationals who work under US companies are allowed. For foreign nationals planning to attend, a Foreign Visitor Request (FVR) Form must be submitted to Global_Trade_Compliance@serco-na.com and navsea_industryday@serco-na.com no later than November 5, 2022. A point of contact (POC) for assistance with the FVR form is Colin Cox (Colin.Cox@serco-na.com). FVR document is attached to this notice. This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind on the part of the government. The government will not accept proposals as a result of this announcement. �NAVSEA does not assume liability for costs incurred by an attendee or for travel expenses or marketing efforts; therefore, attendee costs in response to this notice are not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.
