- Description
- The Government is conducting Market Research to identify potential vendors that possess the capability to develop, install, test, and qualify an Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast out (ADS-B) solution for a C-130J-30 aircraft with a Block 6.0 configuration. The scope of the effort will require a contractor to design, procure, and install the ADS-B out modification to the partner nation C-130J-30 fleet of six (6) aircraft. The development and production efforts will include a full complement of training and logistic activities to ensure implementation of an efficient sustainment program. The effort includes the accomplishment of airworthiness (AW) requirements in accordance with AWB-345, AFI 62-601, and all applicable United States Air Force (USAF) AW policy. The ADS-B out solution shall be compliant with DOD AIMS 17-1000 and proposed equipment shall be compliant with FAA TSO-CI45c/TSO-C-146d and TSO-C-190. The solution will require delivery of a Tech Data Package (TDP) to include drawings, technical orders, and airworthiness documentation. The current partner nation C-130J-30 configuration contains an existing Raytheon APX-119 Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) transponder that does not have ADS-B out capability and a dual Honeywell Embedded Global positioning system / Inertial navigation system (EGI) that is not a sufficient source of aircraft position, altitude, and velocity information for ADS-B out compliance. The solution will require mission computer software changes. Contractor shall furnish all material, support equipment, tools, test equipment, and services. The contractor is responsible for providing, maintaining, and calibrating all support equipment required at their facility or a subcontractors facility. Contractor furnished material or parts used for replacement shall equal or exceed the quality of the original material or parts. Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey.
