- Description
- THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP), BUT RATHER A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ISSUED AS A MARKET RESEARCH REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. The Government is looking to identify interested and capable sources only. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or enter into a contractual agreement. The Government is not obligated to pay for information submitted in response to this request. Fleet Readiness Center, East (FRCE) is seeking potential small business sources to provide SIP (Societe Genevoise d'Instruments de Physique) Precision Rotary Table Refurbishment (six tables in total). This table is a tooling accessory used to bore, drill and machine aircraft parts, such as CH53 tail rotor, CH53 accessories gearbox and V22 blade and hub components. The SIP Precision Rotary Table is placed on a machine and allows you to orient a part from flat to 90 degrees with extreme precision and also allows the part to be rotated over 360 degrees in the plane in which it was just rotated. This rotation is also done with extreme precision. The only option for the tables is refurbishment because there is no vendor that will make these manual tables. This requirement is unique because of the way they tilt and rotate, which also have a component inside the tables called a veneer located where precision components have to be reworked. Responses to this notice should describe the Contractors capability and experience with SIP (Societe Genevoise d'Instruments de Physique) Precision Rotary Tables. Respondents may also present any potential plan to team with other capable companies as a Joint Venture, or Prime-Sub relationship. It is requested that respondents include its major products/services, primary customer base, number of employees, annual revenue history, office location, CAGE Code, and a statement regarding its current Small Business Administration (SBA) business size and socio-economic classification under NAICS code 332710 to help the Government ascertain competitive capability. Again, the purpose of this phase is to determine viable competitive capabilities to adequately set-aside the procurement. If there are not at least two reliable responses from small businesses, the solicitation will not be set-aside for small business. Responses shall be submitted electronically to the designated Contract Specialist, Joanna Schwab, in Microsoft Word format or Portable Document Format (PDF) at the following email address: joanna.l.schwab.civ@us.navy.mil.Failure to respond to this request does not preclude participation in any potential future competitive solicitation that may be issued. If a solicitation is prepared, it will be synopsized on SAM. Gove prior to issuance, pursuant to FAR 5.201. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor this site for future notices.
