Description: Autoclaves are a critical instrument for microbiology laboratories; they are used to sterilize media used in regulatory analysis and to reduce the bioburden of the copious amount�s biohazardous waste generated during analysis. This statement of work is to procure a new autoclave for the Seattle Human and Animal Food Laboratory (SEAHAF) laboratory to replace an old unit that is at least 15 years old and nearing the end of its lifespan. We have been informed by the manufacturer and service provider that it will not last much longer. (i) Disclaimer: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.� This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) This acquisition is issued as a Request for Quote (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2023-02; March 16th, 2023 (iv) For purposes of this acquisition, the associated NAICS code is 334516.� The small business size standard is 1000 employees. Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) will be used for evaluation purposes.� This action is being solicited as an Open- Market Competition.
