- Presolicitation Notice Presolicitation Notice Page 3 of 3 *=Required Field Presolicitation Notice Page 1 of 3 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO) Palo Alto Networks Resident Engineers 36C10B23Q0384 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Procurement Acquisition and Logistics, Technology Acquisition Center, located at 23 Christopher Way, Eatontown, New Jersey, is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of providing six (6) brand name Palo Alto Networks Resident Engineers. Please see the attached draft Product Description for additional details. At this time, VA is contemplating a potential requirement to procure six (6) brand name Palo Alto Networks Resident Engineers which provide services that support the Department of VA EHRM-IO Palo Alto Networks firewalls and associated software and management systems. Palo Alto Networks Resident Engineer services shall assist VA in engineering, configuring, and testing the data security functions provided by the currently deployed Palo Alto Networks next generation firewalls that connect the VA Medical Centers to the DoD Medical Community of Internet network and enable access to the to the Cerner electronic medical record. The anticipated period of performance is 12-months and (4) four 12-month option periods. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) for this effort is 541519. See specific requirements in the attached DRAFT Product Description. This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered an Invitation for Bid, Request for Task Execution Plan, Request for Quotation or a Request for Proposal. Additionally, there is no obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services described in this RFI. Your response to this RFI will be treated only as information for the Government to consider. You will not be entitled to payment for direct or indirect costs that you incur in responding to this RFI. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated, or received for this effort. The information provided may be used by the VA in developing its acquisition strategy. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary, restricted or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The Government does not intend to pay for the information submitted in response to this RFI. Please see attached Draft Product Description (PD). It is requested that all companies interested in participating in this effort please note their interest and submit responses to the items listed below. If interested please provide the following: Please indicate whether you are a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), and if so under which North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code(s) are you considered a Small Business (as stated in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database). Provide any questions/concerns on the Draft Product Description (PD). A capability statement describing your company s ability to meet the requirements in the attached draft PD. The capability statement shall be limited to 5 pages and no more than 5MB. RFI submissions shall be provided to the POCs identified in this posting NLT than June 30, 2023 at 1:00 PM Eastern Time.
