Description
Contract Title - Building 500 HVAC and ductwork cleaning Background/Dates of Service (Period of Performance). The Central Virginia VA Health Care System (CVHCS) is requesting air handler duct cleaning. Scope. The Contractor shall provide all labor, personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to clean duct work for all 59 air handling units in CVHCS building #500. Specific Tasks. The Vendor will provide the following services: Duct cleaning for 59 air handling units Clean internal ventilation duct systems Clean all supply and return air ductwork Clean all VAV (Variable Air Volume) Clean all outside air intakes (including grills) Clean all registers grilles and diffusers De-energize and lock out all HVAC units before work starts. Work with VA to disable all fire and smoke sensors, including duct smoke detectors. Perform internal cleaning to all 59 HVAC units. Including coil cleaning using NADCA ACR Type 1 and Type 2 Coil cleaning methods Condensate drain pain, drain lines, access door panels and interior cavities of all AHUs For Ductwork cleaning Install sheet metal access panels into supply and return duct work All access panels should be as large as feasible All access panels installed should be stainless steel All access points (both installed and existing) will be marked and updated on drawings Provide negative air pressure during all cleaning procedures Install all HEPA filter air scrubbers in the work areas Clean all Ductwork to NADCA standards Supply and Register Ductwork Removed Cleaned Detailed Disinfected All work is to occur during nights or weekends. Inpatient areas: Cleaning should occur on weekends between 8a 8p Unit should only be taken down when outside air temperatures are below 75 degrees Unit cannot be down for longer than 12 hours at one time Outpatient Areas Cleanings can occur on nights or weekends Nights: 5:00a 5:00p Weekends: No time restrictions Administrative Areas Cleanings can occur on nights or weekends Nights: 5:00a 5:00p Weekends: No time restrictions
