Description
Special Notice Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 17, intends to award a firm-fixed priced contract/order to CHEMDAQ Inc. for procurement of CHEMDAQ SXP Maintenance. The projected awardee is an authorized service distributor of CHEMDAQ SXP Maintenance. Contractors shall provide: The purpose of this contract is to constantly maintain gas monitoring equipment with freshly calibrated sensors quarterly to provide a continuous safe environment for personnel. CHEMDAQ tracks the time the sensors were last calibrated and provides freshly calibrated sensors as needed. The contractor will also provide unlimited tech support, free repairs, or replace all hardware at no cost. Software updates as they become available, free loaner units to minimize downtime. Receive free overnight shipping for loaner units and free shipping for any new or replacement part. This notice is not to be considered a request for quotations or proposals. A contract will not be awarded based on an offer received in response to this notice; however, all responsible sources may submit an authorized service letter for CHEMDAQ Inc. and a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, to matthew.lee5@va.gov which shall be considered by the agency. Proposals or offers received will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the government. If no affirmative written response is received within 4 days from the publication of this notice, a contract/order will be issued to CHEMDAQ without any further notice. The proposed contract actions are for services, which the government intends to negotiate with only one source. The anticipated statutory authorities permitting other than full and open competition for the requirement is 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 13.5. The proposed sole source procurement will be made by a pricing agreement with CHEMDAQ Inc.
