- The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to questions asked by vendors for solicitation number 36C24223Q0828. This amendment also provides information for an optional site-visit on Monday, July 3rd @ 10:00am EDT. See questions/answers below: Contractors may attend an optional site-visit on Monday, July 3rd, 2023, at 10:00am EDT to view the requirement at the Bath VAMC. We will meet outside of Building #35, the Canteen, prior to 10:00am. Contractors shall email the Contract Specialist (Ryan.Brehm@va.gov) no later than Friday, June 30th, 2023, at 6:00pm EDT with their intention to attend. No other site visits will be provided. What days and times are we able to complete the cleaning? Answer: Please refer to section B.3.2.B in the SOW for times available to complete the cleanings. For days, please refer to B.3.2.A and B.3.2.C. Access times and any restrictions of movement that have to be adhered to by any staff performing the work? Answer: Please refer to section B.3.2.B in the SOW for times and restrictions of movement for contractor staff. Is Sheila Shine a required product to be used? Or any stainless steel polish? Answer: Please refer to section B.3.1.B.5 in the SOW for the use of Sheila Shine products. If the product being used is equal to or better than Sheila Shine, it is acceptable provided you explain how it meets or exceeds Sheila Shine quality. Do you have drawings of the ductwork and/or building plans? Or can we arrange a site visit to see the extent of the work? Answer: An optional site visit is now available for Monday, July 3rd @ 10:00am to provide clarification on the services required for this procurement. Is a lift required to clean the side mounted fan in the Building 35 Canteen? What is the height which it is located? Answer: An optional site visit is now available for Monday, July 3rd @ 10:00am to provide clarification on the services required for this procurement. Size and diameter of exhaust duct work (I.e. are these standard 4 diameter exhaust ducts or larger or a mix of both?) Answer: An optional site visit is now available for Monday, July 3rd @ 10:00am to provide clarification on the services required for this procurement. The location of the exhaust fan termination points (I.e. do they terminate at the side of the Bldg or on the roof or at ground level or at height?) Answer: An optional site visit is now available for Monday, July 3rd @ 10:00am to provide clarification on the services required for this procurement. The number of exhaust fans? Answer: Please refer to section B.3.1.B and B.3.1.C in the SOW for the number of exhaust fans. Any further clarification on this can be seen/found during the on-site visit on Monday, July 3rd @ 10:00am. Any Pictures of the Exhaust fans, ducts and vent hoods that you could provide? Answer: An optional site visit is now available for Monday, July 3rd @ 10:00am to provide clarification on the services required for this procurement. Any Mechanical or general Blueprints for all bldgs being serviced. Answer: An optional site visit is now available for Monday, July 3rd @ 10:00am to provide clarification on the services required for this procurement. Are prints available for this project? Answer: An optional site visit is now available for Monday, July 3rd @ 10:00am to provide clarification on the services required for this procurement. Why are you asking for a HVAC certification for a kitchen hood cleaning. IKECA certification is the one which encompasses kitchen hood systems. Are you also taking kitchen hood cleaning certifications? We are not cleaning HVAC systems. Certifications shall be submitted with quote packages including regulatory back-up documentation for any alternate certifications. All other terms and conditions remain the same. These answers will be incorporated into the final Scope of Work in any subsequent contract.
