B.3 STATEMENT OF WORK GENERAL INFORMATION The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, located in Indianapolis, IN, Library Services requires the use of web-based subscriptions for the medical center library to provide access to multiple EBSCO online databases to support hospital clinical, research, and administrative staff and authorized students with current, authoritative evidence-based materials. SCOPE OF WORK The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center requires access to an Internet-based collection of online clinical reference databases on a user-friendly platform that staff within the VA Indiana Healthcare System will be able to navigate easily. The purpose is to provide medical, nursing, allied health and administrative staff with access to a variety of health care reference materials. The material shall minimally consist of the databases and resources listed in the Requirements section of this SOW. These materials are required to assist clinical staff at the VA Indiana Healthcare System in providing patient care, conducting health services research, and in making health care management decisions. Performance Period: Base Plus One (1) Option Year, Base Year beginning July 1, 2023 June 30, 2024 Type of Contract: Federal Supply Schedule Firm-fixed Price REQUIREMENTS All material shall include full-text versions of the required reference material and access to a wide variety of evidence-based literature databases covering clinical health care and health administration. Together with the EBSCO Discovery Service these files provide a single-access point to assist users in locating the information they need quickly and efficiently. Following are the databases and resources to be included: AMED Database AMED (Allied and Complementary Medicine Database)I s a specialized bibliographic database designed for physicians, therapists, medical researchers, and clinicians. AMED provides access to 500 indexed journals going dating back to 1995 on alternative and allied therapies and related subjects. CINAHL Complete CINAHL Complete provides full-text access to more than 1,300 journals indexed in the CINAHL database back to 1937. It indexes another 3,700 journals covering a variety of nursing specialties, nutrition, speech and language pathology, and other allied health professions. CINAHL Complete provides Continuing Education Units accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center s Accreditation Program. EBSCO s eBook package for Clinical Resources EBSCO s eBook package for Clinical Resources contains 4,200 eBooks on a variety of medical subjects including Dermatology, Gynecology/Obstetrics, Intern Medicine, Ophthalmology, Pharmacology, Surgery and more. The eBook collection is comprised of books from major publishers such as HCPro, Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, McGraw-Hill Education, Oxford University Press and more. EBSCO s eBook package for Nursing Resources EBSCO s eBook package for Nursing Resources contains 810 eBooks for nursing staff from clinical guides, evidence-based practice manuals to handbooks and professional growth titles. The eBook collection is comprised of books from major publishers such as HCPro, Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, MCGraw-Hill Education, Oxford University Press, Sigma Theta Tau International and more. EBSCO s eBook package for Psychology Resources EBSCO s eBook package for Psychology Resources contains 740 eBooks. Subject areas include clinical psychology, cognitive psychology, neuropsychology, psychoanalysis, psychotherapy, counseling, social psychology and more. Major publishers include Cambridge Scholars Publishing, De Gruyter, Lippincott Williams and Wilkins, McGraw-Hill Education, Oxford University Press, Taylor & Francis and more. LGBTQ+ Source Database LGBTQ+ Source Database includes full text for top LGBTQ+ publications including 198 full-text journals and 318 indexed and abstracted journals. The database also includes a specialized LGBTQ+ thesaurus containing thousands of terms. Health & Psychosocial Instruments Health & Psychosocial Instruments (HaPI) provides access to information on measurement instruments in health fields, psychosocial sciences, organizational behavior, and library and information sciences. HaPI does not offer access to the test instruments but does include citations to freestanding instruments as well as instruments that have only appeared in journal or technical reports.  MEDLINE Complete MEDLINE Complete is a full-text database provides access to more than 2300 journals/ Full-text coverage dates from 1916. Medline covers the literature of biomedicine, the behavioral sciences, the pre-clinical sciences, and health policy development. Mental Measurements Yearbook Mental Measurements Yearbook reviews testing instruments for tests in psychology, education, business and leadership. There are over 3,000 full-text reviews of contemporary testing instruments. The description entries include the test purpose, publisher, pricing, population and scores. Reviews are written by leading content experts. SocINDEX with Full Text SocINDEX indexes more than 450 priority coverage journals as well asl 2900 selective coverage journals from all subdisciplines of sociology including cultural sociology, demography, ethnic & racial studies, gender studies, marriage & family, religion, social psychology, social work, violence, and more. Social Work Reference Center Social Work Reference Center supports the work of Social Workers and Mental Health workers with Evidence-Based Quick Lessons, Evidence-Based Care Sheets, Clinical Assessment Tools, Continuing Education Modules, Practices and Skills, Patient Education Handouts, Drug Information, and Journals. Training: On-site training by local and regional representatives is provided. Online training & tutorials: via the EBSCO support site, several flash tutorials are available. Additionally, online training sessions with training specialists are available. Support materials: via the EBSCO support site, support and training materials are provided including reference/user guides, and help sheets Online help: Online help on EBSCOhost is current, accurate, easily understandable, well organized and context sensitive. The Help link is available on each of the EBSCOhost search screens. It provides users with a detailed table of contents, arranged by main topics with hyperlinks to subtopics underneath each one. Online help on EBSCOhost also includes product tutorials. These 4-5 minute tutorials guide users through the features of the database(s). Tutorial subjects include basic search, advanced search, personalization feature, etc. SPECIFIC MANDATORY TASKS AND ASSOCIATED DELIVERABLES Primarily full text; provide nursing and social work CEs REPORTING REQUIREMENTS Any questions or issues are addressed by the vendor within 4 hours of notification. CONFIDENTIALITY AND PRIVACY No sensitive information will be held or exchanged. No access to VA information or equipment is needed. The C&A requirements do not apply and a Security Accreditation Package is not required, per the Appendix A 6500.6 Security Requirements
