This acquisition is being conducted under FAR Part 15. Objectives The contractor shall synthesize proprietary antibacterial compounds (CT-AP1) for delivery to WRAIR. The contractor shall synthesize optimized antibacterial compounds for delivery to WRAIR. Specific Tasks / Requirements The contractor shall synthesize proprietary antibacterial compounds (CT-AP1) for delivery to WRAIR for testing in in vitro assays and x-ray crystallography experiments. The contractor shall perform multiple rounds of synthetic synthesis of novel/optimized antibacterials within 2-4 months. The contractor shall synthesize the antibacterial compounds, using structural data and structure-activity relationship data employing their knowledge of chemistry, organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, and associated laboratory techniques and skills. The contractor shall deliver the optimized synthesized compounds to WRAIR within 1-4 weeks after receiving data from WRAIR. The contractor shall provide a monthly progress report including data and results on relevant tasks performed WRAIR will conduct assay tests including enzyme inhibition, biofilm inhibition and minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) assays. Assay data will be sent back to contractor and process will repeat until MIC of 1g/mL is achieved.
