Description

NASA/JSC has a requirement for logical follow-on procurement for post-design services related to project �Building 24 Central Heating and Cooling Plant (CHCP) Chiller Replacement Architect-Engineer (A&E) Post Design Services (PDS)�.�The estimated period of performance is 74 calendar days. NASA/JSC intends to issue a sole source contract to acquire services and support from Burns & McDonnell (B&McD) under the authority of FAR 6.302(1) as only one responsible source. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii) the requirement for �Building 24 CHCP A&E PDS� is available only from the original source (B&McD) and if awarded to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. B&McD is the original A&E firm and their services are a logical follow-on for post design support. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.��� Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the requirements of this effort electronically via email to the Contracting Officer, Andrea Browne at andrea.browne-1@nasa.gov no later than July 11, 2023 at 12:00 PM CST. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
