Description
Property to be sold: Approximately 500+ Tons of Chipped Wood Proposal Deposit: 20% of proposal must be submitted by winning offeror prior to removal of material; within 5 calendar days of contract effective date. Acceptable forms of proposal deposit include certified check, money order, and company checks. NO CASH accepted. Property must be removed: First removal within 7 calendar days of contract effective date; then on an as needed basis for a twelve (12) month period. Payments due: Prior to removal. SALE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY W912GY-23-Q-004S TERMS AND CONDITIONS Sierra Army Depot will generate approximately 500 tons of Chipped Wood to be sold and removed from the facility over a 12 month period; the weight of the first removal will be determined and provided in the award notification.� The first removal shall be within 7 business days of the contract effective date, then on an as needed basis thereafter. �The weight is an estimate and the winning offeror is responsible for providing the 20% deposit within 5 calendar days of the contract effective date, then payment shall be made prior to all removals.� Wood grindings may contain less than 1% foreign debris to include ferrous and non-ferrous material.� The winning offeror is responsible for the removal and transportation of all wood chips. The Recycling Division shall oversee the loading of the wood; points of contact to be provided at the time of award.� The contractor shall provide payment prior to removal; acceptable forms of payment include certified check, money order, and company checks.� CASH WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Payment is to be made payable to the US Treasury and mailed to: Sierra Army Depot Attn: QRP Rep � Starla Roberts 74 Currant Street Bldg. 60 Herlong, CA� 96113 Please include the contract number on the acceptable forms of payment: certified check, money order or company check. The contractor is required to use a wood hauling chip trailer/truck (walking trailer) to safely and efficiently load the chipped wood.� Sierra does not possess equipment and cannot assist in the loading of the wood.� Contractor is responsible for the securing of the load in the chip trailer. Proposals are to be submitted by lot on the following form:� SF 114A-C (see attached) Proposals are due by 11am Pacific Standard Time on Thursday, 29 June 2023.� Proposals shall be submitted electronically via email to starla.a.roberts.civ@army.mil. ��Questions shall be submitted to Starla Roberts via email, no later than Thursday, 6 July 2023.� Financial Terms Contractor shall pay all freight costs. Contractor is responsible for all shipping losses. The contractor shall provide payment in one of the accepted formats prior to removal. Certified Check/Money order or Company check shall be made payable to US TREASURY. This is an All or Nothing sale, as is. You are cautioned to propose only if you are prepared to pay for and remove in accordance with the terms and conditions of this sale.� Chipped Wood awarded to you as the high offeror is contractually yours and must be paid for and removed within the time period allowed in the contract terms.� Failure to do so shall subject you to paying a default fee and you will be barred from future Government sales.� The Government reserves the right to terminate this contract for any contractor default. The Government reserves the right to reject unacceptable proposals and reoffer the lots at a later time or during this sale. Please see hours of available pick up: PICK-UP/DELIVERY HOURS: Monday-Thursday, 7am-2pm PST (excluding Federal Holidays) **Removals will be at the Recycling Division during the hours listed above.� Removals may be scheduled by contacting Starla Roberts at 530-827-5126.� A visitor�s pass is required to gain access on the depot (will be provided at the time of award).� Drivers must submit the form upon arrival at the Pass & ID Department.� Depot visitors must provide proof of insurance, vehicle registration and a valid driver�s license.� A background check will be performed.
