Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE � THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to solicit and award a sole source contract under statutory authority 41 U.S.C. 1901, as implemented by FAR 13.501(a). The Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk Contracting Department, Norfolk, VA 23511-3392, intends to award a single award Firm Fixed Price contract on a sole source basis to VRCO Inc. (DBA Mechdyne Corporation) for Audio Visual specialized technician support services in support of Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command (NCDOC). The Government will solicit and award using the policies and procedures of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Products and Commercial Services. Services will commence on/around 28 September 2023 and continue through 27 March 2029 for one (1), twelve (12) month base period, four (4), twelve (12) month option periods, and one (1), six (6) month extension (up to 6-months) in accordance with FAR 52.217-8. This requirement will be solicited and awarded on a sole source basis IAW FAR 13.501(a). The activity�s small business office concurs with this determination and a sole source justification has been prepared and approved; however, the justification is not required to be posted at the Pre-Solicitation Level. The NAICS code applicable to this procurement is 33410. The size standard is 750 (# of employees). The Product Service Code is DE01. The anticipated award date is no later than 28 August 2023. This proposed acquisition is for technical support services that will provide A/V specialized technicians on existing subsystems and systems located on both the watch floor and the alternative watch floor, to ensure that replacement of outdated equipment with new technology will fully utilize existing equipment to reduce cost. Provide A/V-specific technical assistance to test, troubleshoot, isolate fault and repair new and existing A/V systems and equipment.� Perform adjustments, alignments and calibrations of all A/V equipment to ensure system-level capability. Install and upgrade system hardware/software as required to maintain peak operational performance and perform diagnostic test and repair to correct all equipment/system and software malfunctions or deficiencies to maintain peak operational performance. The solicitation, any documents related to this procurement, and all amendments issued will be in electronic form. The solicitation is not yet available. The expected availability date is 12 July 2023. Once available, the solicitation will be posted to System for Award Management at https://sam.gov/. This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
