- Description
- Solicitation 36C25023Q0457 Amendment 0001 Interventional Radiology Physician Services Questions and Answers It says 1 FTE, but you want 4 providers credentialed and available for scheduling. The pricing spreadsheet lists 1040 hours, which only equals .5 FTE. So, do you have 1 FTE to fill or .5? This requirement is for a .5 FTE (1040 hours). Physician(s) will work every other week for a total of 1040 hours per year. See PWS 3.1.2 which states, Contractor s physician(s) shall be available and present in clinic during normal Dayton, Ohio VAMC clinic hours which will be established, and may be revised, as deemed appropriate for patient care by the Chief of Staff. Monday through Friday, every other week, for a total of 1040 hours per year. On a daily basis (for the weeks that the physicians work) the minimum number of physicians required to be on site is 1 physician. I see it needs a DEA. Does that mean they need an Ohio license, or can it still be any state license? Per PWS 2.1.1 License: The Contractor s physician(s) assigned by the Contractor to perform the services covered by this contract shall have a current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia) when services are performed onsite on VA property. During credentialing of physician(s), if awarded the contract, contractor shall provide copy of current DEA certificate. Will there be weekend call? No Is on call coverage needed? No Can you provide further clarification regarding scheduling and shifts that need to be filled? 0800-1630 EST What will the schedules look like for the multiple providers presented, and how far in advance will schedules be made? Physicians will be scheduled 3-4 weeks out. Each physician possesses unique skill sets so the Dayton VAMC will schedule certain procedures to correlate with the day the physician works. With regard to the 2 hour replacement term in section 2.9.3, this is not typical in locums contracts. While we can recruit a pool of sufficient numbers to staff the contract, it would be difficult to replace a provider with only a 2 hour window. That is difficult for most facilities to do with their own employed providers. We would make every effort to replace a provider as quickly as possible. Can the 2 hour replacement window be removed? No, this requirement will not be removed; however, it may be handled on a case by case basis depending on the needs of the Dayton VAMC.
