Description: The intent is to secure a contractor that will provide administrative and technical services for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Backup Care Program, providing employees with of a comprehensive nationwide emergency and short-term back-up child/adult/elder care placement service for the NIST workforce during work hours. Backup care is defined as an alternative childcare, eldercare, or dependent arrangement care made in response to an emergency, an unexpected event, or a disruption in regular, pre-arranged child, elder, or dependent care and serves as a safety net for when a childcare, eldercare, or dependent care emergency happens, or normal care arrangements fall through.
