- EFFECTIVE JUNE 27, 2023: The government has posted Amendment No. 0001 hereunder this Notice (please refer to the Attachments Section). ************************************************************************************************************************************************* ATTENTION TO BIDDERS ****************************************PRE-BID MEETING & PROJECT SITE VISIT JUNE 14,�2023************************************ A pre-bid meeting and project site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. (Central Time). Interested contractors are to meet at location: Hammond City Hall, 5925 Calumet Avenue, Hammond, Indiana 46320. ****************************************PRE-BID MEETING & PROJECT SITE VISIT JUNE 14,�2023************************************ Under this Solicitation Notice, the United States Army Corps of Engineers -�Chicago District issues Solicitation No. W912P623B0012 for bidding purposes. Therefore, provided hereunder is the relevant bid package for the�construction project entitled, ""Stormwater Improvements,�Hammond, Lake County, Indiana (USACE Acquisition)."" PROJECT INFORMATION: The project work involves the construction of increased capacity to convey stormwater from the Dowling Park�neighborhood eastward to a 90"" diameter storm water interceptor on Kentucky Street. Increased capacity to convey storm water will be�achieved w ith the installation of a new 60"" storm sewer pipe. Approximately 1,630 linear feet of 60"" pipe will be installed using open trench�construction methods. All of the work w ill be conducted within the public right-of-way (176th Place or Parrish Avenue) or on property/parcels�owned by Hammond through the Hammond Park District and the City of Hammond Redevelopment Commission. CONTRACTING OFFICE: USACE Chicago District, 231 SOUTH�LaSALLE STREET, SUITE 1500, Chicago, IL 60604 ACQUISITION INFORMATION: Competition for this acquisition is�Full and Open, Unrestricted to Business Size. The North American�Industry System Classification Code is 237110, with a small business size�standard in dollars of $45.0 Million. The magnitude of cost for construction�is estimated between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The Solicitation (Invitation for Bids ��IFB�) is downloadable from�the INTERNET ONLY. The project specification files are Portable�Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated, or printed�using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Responses to this Solicitation (Invitation for Bids) are due by 2:00 p.m.�(Central Time) on July 5, 2023.
