- 2 Vendor Questions 36C25722R0052 PSYCHIATRY PHYSICIAN SERVICES Question 1: Will providers need to be physically on-site at the CBOCs for telehealth or can they be remote from their homes? Answer 1: Yes, providers need to be physically on-site at a VANTHCS location. Absolutely no remote from home allowed. Question 2: Is this going to be inpatient and outpatient? Answer 2: Each physician will be assigned to one area/team (Outpatient, Consult Liaison Service, or Inpatient). Question 3: What would be the census for in-patient nights and weekends? Answer 3: Inpatient is 35 bed unit. Question 4: Would there be rounding on patients on weekends and nights? Answer 4: Yes, weekend rounding if assigned to Inpatient coverage. Question 5: If there is no in-patient will there be night call and weekend call? Answer 5: Yes, if assigned to Consult Liaison Service. Question 6: Are there specialties available for example PTSD trauma doctors etc.? Answer 6: Yes, except no ECT. Question 7: In the current market psychiatrists will typically work either inpatient or outpatient, not both. Can the government detail how many FTEs and hours will be designated for outpatient, inpatient and consult liaison? This will allow vendors to recruit specifically for outpatient vs inpatient providers. Additionally, consult liaison fellowship trained providers (as suggested in the SOW) aren't being recruited for positions other than consult liaison. Answer 7 : Hours will vary depending on staffing needs. Provider preference would be accommodated where possible based upon staffing needs. Question 8: Will the government allow for contingency providers to be credentialed and available to fill in as needed? If not, will the government consider removing this requirement from the solicitation? Answer 8: Yes, Will the government allow for contingency providers to be credentialed. No, this requirement is to ensure no disruption in coverage. Question 9: Can you confirm that board eligible providers are acceptable? Answer 9: Board certification is required where trainee supervision is present. Question 10: For Inpatient coverage, is there any weekend rounding or overnight pager call required? Answer 10: Yes, weekend rounding if assigned to Inpatient coverage. Question 11: If overnight pager call is required, is there an expectation to see patient consults in the emergency department? Answer 11: Yes, if assigned to Consult Liaison Service. Question 12: What is an average census for Inpatient rounding? Answer 12: Inpatient is 35 bed unit. Question 13: What is an average census for Outpatient clinic? Answer 13: 12-16 patients in Outpatient clinic. Question 14: What are the shift timings for Inpatient rounding? Answer 14: 8am.
