Description
The Government is issuing this Request for Information to determine a competitive basis for the procurement described. This is not a solicitation. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this survey. This survey is for market research purposes only.� Only contractors capable of performing this type of work should respond to this Request for Information. Requirement The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Nashville District, anticipates a requirement for a firm fixed-price construction contract at Barkley Power Plant in Kuttawa, KY: Remove and properly dispose of the existing acoustical ceiling tiles and associated drop metal framing. Purchase and install replacement drop metal framing and acoustical ceiling tiles. Remove and properly dispose of the existing metal and plaster ceiling in the 6th floor bathrooms. Purchase and install replacement metal ceiling with new plaster.. Total estimated square footage is approximately 5,950 sq ft. The contractor will be required to provide all supervision, labor, and materials to complete the project. *Please note that this description is subject to change. The anticipated NAICS code is 238390 - Other Building Finishing Contractors with a size standard of 19 Million. Survey The Government is issuing this notice to determine a competitive basis. This is not a solicitation and the items listed herein are subject to change or eliminated from the requirement. This survey is for market research purposes only. Only contractors capable of performing this type of work should respond to this Request for Information. Your response to this survey is requested by 2:00 PM Central Time, 11 July 2023. Please send by email to Todd Allman at robert.t.allman@usace.army.mil. Submissions: 1. Interested firms having the capabilities necessary to meet or exceed all aspects of NAICS Code is 238390 - Other Building Finishing Contractors with a size standard of 19 Million and that can support the above scope of work should submit a capabilities package. 2. A cover letter provided for the capabilities package should include: a) Name and address of the company, b) Company�s business size status (i.e. OTSB, SB, SDB. WOSB, VOSB, SDVOSB, HUBZone, 8(a)). and c) A point of contact to include phone number and email address.� In addition, please provide affiliate information: Parent company, joint venture partners, and potential teaming partners. 3. Interested contractors should submit a list of all NAICS codes your firm is registered under. Provide at least�three (3) project examples that were completed within the last ten (10) years which similarly demonstrate the above scope of work.� Submission of project examples on the larger capacity equipment is preferred, showing broadest scope capabilities. Each project example should contain the following: a) Contract number, organization/agency supported, contract value, list/scope of work, whether your firm was the prime contractor or subcontractor, percentage of work performed by your firm, and NAICS code associated with the project. b) A brief description/narrative of how the project example relates to the scope of work described herein. 4. In addition to the above, the Government requests comments from interested parties to the following questions: a) What period of performance would your firm expect for a project of this magnitude? In other words, once awarded, approximately how long would your firm need to build, deliver, assemble, and launch the work described in the above scope of work? b) Would your firm be interested in submitting a proposal considering the anticipated scope of work? If not, what part of the scope above would prevent your firm from submitting a proposal for this project? c) What supply chain issues does your firm anticipate could affect the delivery of this requirement? d) Does your firm have any other comments, concerns, or suggestions that you would like to share with the Government pertaining to the scope of work?
