- The Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 02 intends to solicit from a single source IAW FAR 13.106(b) to obtain Service and Maintenance on (2) AbioMed Impella AIC systems currently in place and manufactured by AbioMed, Inc. Period of performance (estimated): 07/01/2023 through 06/30/2024 with potential for (4) option years Basic description of the requirement: AbioMed is the manufacturer and developer of their proprietary equipment and software and the sole authorized provider of maintenance, service and support to maintain in tact warranties. AbioMed, Inc sells their equipment and uses its own service technicians to perform regular service on the equipment to keep any warranties in tact, and has the rights to the firmware and updates needed. Place of Performance: Buffalo VA Medical Center 3495 Bailey Avenue Buffalo, NY 14215 The NAICS code for this requirement is 811210- Med & Surg Instruments and Equip and Supplies. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement Tuesday Thursday June 29th at 14:00 Eastern Standard Time (EST). The Department of Veterans Affairs will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses from responsible sources will be considered. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award. Interested parties are encouraged to furnish information by email only with RESPONSE TO INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE IMPELLA in the subject line. All documents submitted, will not be returned.
