Description

This Notice of Intent to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order is provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Office of Acquisition Services (OAS) on behalf of the National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH),�Division of Field Studies and Engineering (DFSE),Field Research Branch (FRB). DFSE�has a requirement for analysis of PFAS in urine samples.� The Carnegie Mellon lab�s use of high-resolution ion mobility mass spectrometry enables measurement of exact mass and separation of compounds by drift time (molecular size and shape), improving differentiation of PFAS isomers and allowing screening and identification of novel PFAS as well as quantitation of target analytes.� The intended recipient of this order is Carnegie Mellon University located at�5000 Forbes Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.�� This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a) (1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
