- Questions and Answers Page 5 Schedule of Services 1. Legionella Water Testing Requirements a. General Procedures for Legionella states VA requires 60 quarterly samples for analysis plus 10 follow-up samples if necessary. Page 9 B.3 Item 0001 states 80 Samples per quarter. Can the government clarify if the quarterly samples are 60 or 80? If quarterly samples are 60, can the government provide an updated B.3 Price Cost Schedule? 80 samples each quarter is correct for Legionella testing Page 5 Schedule of Services 1. Legionella Water Testing Requirements a. General Procedures for Legionella states ..plus 10 follow-up samples if necessary. Page 9 B.3 Item 0002 states 50 for follow up analysis. Can the government clarify if the follow up samples are 50 annually? 50 follow up/re-test is correct for legionella testing Page 5 Schedule of Services 1. Legionella Water Testing Requirements b. Sample Analysis and Reporting states Analytical reports shall include a signed copy of the chain of custody, identification of sampling locations and conditions, including the specific outlet temperature of water at the time the sample was collected, pH, biocide residual levels, method detection limits, and a description of test methodology. Sample reports need to be provided in a format that can be copied into the VHA Legionella sampling results reporting form. Our laboratory sends out two reports. The first one is a PDF with location specifics, detection limits, method used, Legionella results as cfu/mL. The second is the WSMT spreadsheet that will also contain location specifics, temperature, pH, biocide and an indication of Legionella positives as yes/no. Is it acceptable to provide these two reports to meet the reporting specifications? Yes Page 20 Claus 52.222-43 Is the contract subject to this clause? If so, can the government provide an amendment showing this clause selected. No, this clause is not included in this contract.
