Description
The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide for the maintenance and modernization of Landing Craft Air Cushions (LCACs) and Ship to Shore Connectors (SSCs). The Government intends to utilize this contract for the repair, maintenance, modernization and retirement requirements under the cognizance of ACU-5 of LCACs only home-ported at ACU-5 at Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, California. (MCBCP). The work will encompass LCAC/SSC Fleet Modernization Program (FMP), LCAC Post SLEP Extension (PSE), SSC Post Shakedown Availabilities (PSA), Post Delivery Restricted Availability (PDRA), LCAC Retirements, and LCAC Planned / Emergent Repairs. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and facilities required to accomplish the work in the Statement of Work.� Government furnished utilities may be available for the contractor�s use at the contractor�s expense. The contractor is responsible for the use of the latest revision of all references, specifications, and NAVSEA Standard Items.� This is a full & open competition with reserves for small business firms in accordance with FAR 19.503.� The Government intends to award contracts to two or more responsible small business firms. This will be a Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity, Firm Fixed Price contract for five (5) ordering year periods. The applicable NAICS code is 336611 Ship Building and Repairing.� Award will be based on best-value procurement utilizing past performance, technical, and price as evaluation factors. FAR 52.216-27 Single or Multiple Awards (OCT 1995) applies. This is a follow-on procurement. ��The successful offeror(s) will be required to have a Southwest Regional Maintenance Center approved Quality Management System (IAW NAVSEA Standard Item 009-04) in place at the time of contract award.� All responsible contractors may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by this agency.
