- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS/QUOTES The 97th Operations Group at Altus AFB, OK 73523 has a need to purchase a iMet-3050A Portable Sounding System to allow the Weather Flight to have a flexible system that is able to release balloons here on base but in other nearby areas as well. The 97th Contracting Flight intends to make an award to International Met Systems Inc. (CAGE: 1NG75), due to this system's portability and compatibility with the radiosondes already in use. The proposed contract action is for supplies/services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with a single source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for the requirement. Sources interested in responding to this notice are required to submit a capability statement that includes technical data and cost information, sufficient detail and with convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability to meet the requirement. Requests for documentation, additional information, or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with a single source procurement. Capability statements are due on 12 July 2023 by 1:00 PM CST. Capability statements shall be submitted by email ONLY as a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF attachment to jennifer.blaser_kay.2@us.af.mil and kelsey.brightbill@us.af.mil. Capability statements and supporting documentation provided after the due date listed above will not be reviewed. Please see attached Single Source Justification for further information.
