Description

GOLF CART STATEMENT OF NEED GENERAL: James A. Haley Veterans Hospital (JAHVH) Mental Health and Domiciliary has executed a new lease/build that will consolidate and expand the mental health and domiciliary clinic, 8541 Temple Terrace Highway, Tampa, Florida 33637, has a requirement for golf carts for patient transport. The golf carts will be used for patients/Veteran s transport within the parking lot of Tampa Mental Health and Domiciliary Clinic. BACKGROUND: The JAHVH Tampa Mental Health and Domiciliary Clinic has a requirement for golf carts for patient transport. PURPOSE: The golf carts for patient transport will be used for patients/Veteran s transport within the parking lot of Tampa Mental Health and Domiciliary Clinic. SCOPE: JAHVH Tampa Mental Health and Domiciliary Clinic requests that contractors provide a brand name or equal equipment that meets or exceeds the physical, functional, and performance of the listed salient characteristics in this section. The equipment feature is essential to the technical requirements to meet the need of the government. Vendor Questions for 36C24823Q1375 / Golf Carts What is the Upgraded Motor? Answer: The upgraded motor takes the HP from 5.5HP to 6.7HP to compensate for the weight with the extra seating. What is the Safety Tire Lock? Answer: The lock is a securing device to prevent theft. For the under-body structure, you are asking for a steel framework and fiberglass.  most carts these days are molded plastic.  will this suffice Answer: Steel framework and fiberglass. Roof can be injection molded plastic The RFQ is requesting 8 passenger carts.  Will 3 seats facing forward and one backward suffice? Answer: Yes The RFQ is requesting DOT Certified window inserts.  Can you elaborate on this? The vendor wasn't familiar with what this is.  Answer: DOT Approved for street legal golf cart windshield, AS1 Certified windshield Is there a specific color the agency requires? Answer: Red or Blue
