- Solicitation Number: NRMJ20002301028SML Notice Type: Sources Sought Synopsis Title: Campbell Scientific HygroVUE10 Temperature/RH Probes and Accessories Response Date: July 10, 2023 This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS and is not a pre-solicitation announcement. The purpose of this Market Research and Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified U.S. Domestic businesses, which could include Small Business, HUBZone, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Women Owned Small Business firms and even Large Businesses. Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis will be used by the Government in making appropriate acquisition decisions. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR), Earth Systems Research Laboratories (ESRL), Physical Sciences Laboratory (PSL) is currently maintaining a network of meteorological weather monitoring systems in the state of California for the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) and other projects. A critical component of these systems is the temperature/humidity probe that records constant temperature and humidity readings for inclusion to the datalogger that is monitoring weather at each site. The current temperature/humidity probes are manufactured by Campbell Scientific, and the PSL is in need of replacements that are compatible in all aspects (form, fit, and function). INTENDED USE/PURPOSE: The HygroVUE10 offers a combined temperature and relative humidity element in an advanced digital sensor that is ideal for weather networks. The electronics within the sensor provide accurate measurements, and the sensor is easy to use. The digital SDI-12 output allows a simple connection and measurement by many data logging systems. The sensor housing is designed to withstand permanent exposure to various weather conditions and to fit inside a range of radiation shields (including compact shields). A temperature/relative humidity sensor like the Campbell Scientific HygroVUE10 is required to meet the technical specifications and provide the level of accuracy needed for the PSLs tolerances. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/ESSENTIAL SALIENT FEATURES: SPECIFICATIONS Sensing Element SHT35 modified by Campbell Scientific Communication Standard SDI-12 V1.4 (responds to a subset of commands) Supply Voltage 7 to 28 Vdc EMC Compliance Tested and conforms to IEC61326:2013.
