AMENDMENT - 02 IS BEING ISSUED TO RE-SCHEDULE THE SITE VISIT IN BYRON, GA. TO FRIDAY, 07/07/23.� THE PROPSAL DUE DATE WAS ALSO CHANGED TO 07/21/23.� � � �� AMENDMENT - 01 - Corrected Site Visit Time and location This is a Request for Proposal for constructions services.�� The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Area (SEA) Southeastern Fruit and Tree Nut Research Unit located in Byron, GA., has a requirement to repair by complete replacement of the existing irrigation system and associated electrical system including the drilling of a third water well in a location specified by the Lab. This is a design/build project.� The work includes but is not limited to:� The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and supplies to perform the work, as per the Statement of Work (SOW).� �All pecan and peach orchards will be connected by a new 2� manifold system installed at the side of the orchard and connected into the new 3� water main system. A new and upgraded electrical system shall be run to each manifold to power the timer system that is part of the manifold.� The solicitation number is 12405B23R0019 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFP).� The NAICS code is 221310 with a size standard of $41.0 M.� Contractors shall not directly contact the�facility to discuss this requirement.� During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity for a site visit and to ask any relevant questions. Contractors are required to be actively registered in the System for Award Management, (SAM)� prior to submitting a proposal.� You can register on- line at www.sam.gov. �If you are already registered and your registration has expired, you will need to go the SAM website and update your information. Please refer to Section L.7 (b) of the attached Clauses and Provisions for site visit information.
