- Description
- NRL is seeking two quadruped robots with robotic arm and gripper that provides a wide range of functionality out of the box, allowing effective teleoperation and high-level application and research area code development without having to re-implement mid-level robot functions (e.g., motion, navigation, mapping, collision avoidance).� An arm and gripper are necessary to demonstrate performance of activities in the application domains and illustrate the benefit of underlying user research.� The arm must support direct positioning of the end effector in 6DOF, either relative to the robot's body or the environment, be integrated into the robot's low-level control to maintain balance and assist arm positioning, and provided software solutions for common grasping and manipulation scenarios.� An SDK or API to allow user access to the factory software for development of high-level research application software is required.� CONTRACTOR RESPONSE FORMAT: NRL requests that interested parties, at a minimum, supply the following information via email: Contact Information a) Name of Company and Point of Contact (POC) with associated contact information b) Business Size/Socioeconomic Categories c) Unique Entity ID and/or CAGE Code Technical Information a) Description/information of items that can meet the attached draft specifications b) Describe whether your company can provide two quadruped robots with robotic arm and gripper, which meet attached draft specifications c) Prior experience of similar scope to that in the attached draft specifications d) Any questions/suggestions (including alternate configurations) related to the draft specifications e) Suggested NAICS and PSC for the effort, if different from NAICS above Responses should be no more than 20 pages, and should be emailed to the Contract Specialist, Morgan Lynch, at morgan.lynch@nrl.navy.mil. NOTE: THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. This is a Sources Sought Notice (SSN) for planning purposes only, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Since this is a SSN, no evaluation letters and/or results will be issued to the respondents. The Government is not committed to issuing a solicitation or awarding a contract pursuant to this announcement. No solicitation package is available at this time.
