Description
Presolicitation Notice - Backup Generator Load Testing and Inspection /Preventive Maintenance Service This is a re-posting to meet the requirement of FAR Part 5 that was inadvertently missed prior to the original solicitation back in 2020. The Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) Reclamation has a need for load testing and inspection/preventive maintenance for backup generators throughout the Grand Coulee Dam complex, Grand Coulee, WA 99133. Currently there are nine generators to be services. This contract will be a firm-fixed price contract for the base year plus four option years to be exercised at the Government's discretion under the authority of FAR clause 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract. There is a potential for another six-month extension under the authority of FAR clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services, to be exercised at the Government's discretion if deemed appropriate. This procurement will utilize a Small Business set-aside under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of 81131, Commercial and Industrial machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance with a Small Business Size Standard of $8 million. The product service code is J061, Maintenance and Repair of Power Distribute Equipment. Reclamation intends to award one firm firm-fixed-price contract. The anticipated date to issue the Request for Quote, 140R1720Q0029, (written) is approximately the second week in April 2020. The anticipated closing date is the fourth week of April. The anticipated award date is the second week of June 2020. Prospective vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to the closing of this solicitation. All dates in this notice are subject to change. Any amendments applicable to the solicitation will be posted at the same site. The initial period of performance (base year) shall be Award of Contract award date plus 12 months, with four (4) 1-year option years to renew. The anticipated period of performance is: September 01, 2020 to August 31, 2025 This service will be purchased in accordance with FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The Government will evaluate quotes based on factors listed in the solicitation.
