Description
The Medical Readiness Contracting Office - Pacific intends to award a firm-fixed price contract for the personal services for Anatomic Pathologist Services at Brian D. Allgood Army Community Hospital (BDAACH).� The Contract Anatomic Pathologist serves as a board certified physician in Clinical and Anatomic Pathology, expert consultant in Pathology in the Department of Pathology, Section of Anatomic Pathology at BDAACH. The Contract Physician shall provide anatomic pathology services and consultative opinions in support of BDAACH and the regional health care facilities. The Contract Physician may also perform other pathology duties including, but not limited to grossing of tissue specimens. Required qualifications include, but are not limited to: Qualifications.� The Contract Anatomic Pathologist shall have the following minimum qualifications including but not limited to: Degree.� Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) Education. Graduate from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association; Association of American Medical Colleges; Liaison Committee on Medical Education, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) at the time the degree was obtained (e.g. Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). A Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school must provide education and medical knowledge substantially equivalent to accredited schools in the United States. Evidence of equivalency to accredited schools in the United States is demonstrated by permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United States and graduate education in a foreign country, or successful completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination. Certification.� Current board certification from the American Board of Pathology. Residency: Successful completion of pathology residency and fellowship program in Anatomic Pathology from an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited Anatomic or Neuro Pathology program. Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as an Anatomic pathologist in either a teaching medical facility or reference laboratory that performs consults on anatomy pathology specimens. This requirement is for a one-year period of performance, 1 October 2023 � 30 September 2024, plus four one-year options, plus the FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services.� The NAICS code for this proposed procurement is 621111 and the annual size standard is $16M.� This solicitation package will be available on the SAM.gov website (http://SAM.gov/) approximately in July 2023.� No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued and no solicitation mailing list will be compiled.� The Contracting Officer is Ms. Kanoe Sing-Ching, (808) 438-5135, kanoelani.c.singching.civ@health.mil, and the Contract Specialist is Ms. Charis K. NOTICE TO OFFERORS All sources may submit a quote as applicable.� However, the Republic of Korea (ROK)-United States (U.S.) Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA), may preclude the U.S. Government from granting Invited Contractor or Technical Representative Status to any offeror, for this requirement.� All sources submitting a quote, including U.S. sources, must already have OR confirm their ability to obtain the requisite business licenses directly from the ROK Government, and conduct business in accordance with all applicable ROK laws, including but not limited to, rules and policies regarding labor, taxation, and immigration.� If an initial quote does not fully demonstrate this authorization and capacity, it will not be further considered for award. Whether an offeror demonstrates this authorization and capacity shall be determined by the Contracting Officer.
