Description
Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 5, is issuing this request for information/sources sought notice to identify companies that have the resources and capabilities to provide and install new duct terminal unit in conjunction with the installation of a reheat coil and HEPA filter at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center (VAMC). Description of Work: The scope of work for this project consists of the installation of a new duct terminal unit in conjunction with the installation of a reheat coil and HEPA filter for room labeled GC110A. Plus, the reconfiguration of already existing and/or new equipment/materials (if necessary) to maintain terminal unit integrity. Scope of work for the removal and replacement of a terminal duct unit including the reconfiguration of materials/equipment: The work for this portion of the contract involves the lock out and tag out of the unit to be replaced/reconfigured. Disconnecting and removing the existing dual duct terminal unit along with the flex duct. Suppling and installing a new duct terminal unit inclusive of a reheat coil and HEPA Filter. Contractor will reutilize any existing controls /controllers applicable to retaining existing communications and functions of unit. Moreover, existing heating water piping, flex duct, and sheet metal duct is to be refashioned in a way that upholds terminal unit integrity. New materials/equipment to support the terminal duct unit will only be used on an as needed basis. Quality Control: Contractor shall provide a project specific quality control program to include Lockout/Tag out. All Lockout/Tag out equipment needed by the contractor will be provided by the contractor. Hazardous Conditions and/or Materials: While working in the interstitial space, contractors will ensure they follow all safety practices and procedures set forth by OSHA s standard for confined spaces (29 CFR 1910.146) for the duration of the scope of work. Inspection: Upon completion of the installation and reconfiguration of the terminal duct unit, contractors will inspect their work for any errors. The unit will be put into service and contractors will ensure that existing terminal unit communication and functionality were preserved. Technical Qualifications: Personnel should be qualified to examine HVAC systems and perform required tests in accordance with Federal and WV state guidelines. Certification should be in line with the latest requirements outlined by the VA. Interested & Capable Responses: NCO 5 is seeking responses from companies that are interested in this procurement and consider themselves to have the resources and capabilities necessary to provide these services. Please respond with your: 1. Capability statement and summary of previous experience providing subject services for the Veterans Health Administration or other similar healthcare facilities. 3. GSA contract number, if your company has one, that includes a RSO line item and coverage includes the Martinsburg, WV. geographical area. 4. Ballpark cost estimate of what the Martinsburg VAMC could expect to pay your company to perform the work described above per year. Responses must be submitted by 16:00 AM (EST) July 13, 2023. The results of this market research will assist in the development of (1) the requirement, and (2) the acquisition strategy (e.g., small business set-aside, full and open competition, etc.).
