Description

Sources Sought Synopsis:The Old Guard (TOG), The United States Army Band (TUSAB), and MDW HQ and MICC-FB intends to seek sources for�Steam Press Maintenance Repair. This RFI is for market research purposes only. Responses to this Request for Information (RFI) are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Respondents shall not submit any proprietary information when responding to this RFI. Respondents shall also note that the Government will not return any information submitted in response to this RFI. The Government is not responsible for any costs incurred by respondents regarding any responses to this RFI. Respondents shall submit capability statements that clearly define the company's ability to provide the services stated in this RFI.� THIS RFI IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool (FAR Part 10) being used to determine potential small business firms capable of providing the supply and/or services described herein prior to determining the method of acquisition.� This is a non-personnel services contract to provide preventive maintenance and repair of steam presses and supporting equipment. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services herein. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn is responsible to the Government. Scope: Government intends to acquire contract support for the basic maintenance and repair of approximately thirty nine (39) Government owned Forenta 462 �F� series steam presses, three (3) Forenta PS33 three head puffers, one�(1) 607TFF tension form finisher, and supporting equipment. The presses and supporting equipment require regular maintenance to ensure they are in proper working order. At no time shall there be less than 85% of the presses working. Contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, equipment, tools, labor, transportation, supervision and any parts over $60.00 to perform on-site preventive maintenance service and repair of the following government- owned equipment: Steam presses, puffer presses, form finisher, and supporting equipment such as air compressors, boiler/steam generators, condensate return tank with pump, blow down tank and vacuum tank with motor to include all hoses, wiring and hardware as required. Contractor shall respond within two (2) hours of notification by the COR or Alternate COR to locations that have only one (1) steam press. Contractor shall respond within twenty four�(24) hours of notification by the COR or Alternate COR to locations that have two (2) or more steam presses. Repairs shall not take more than two working days to complete.
