Description

This is a notification of an award of a sole source procurement under NAICS code 611430: Professional and Management Development Training: This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in offering an array of short duration courses and seminars for management and professional development. This will be awarded to Terry Haney, DDS for dental training services throughout the Phoenix Area Office for the Phoenix Indian Medical Center, White River Service Unit, Hopi Health Care Center, Fort Yuma Indian Hospital, Colorado River Service Unit, Fort Duchesne and Elko -Southern Bands Dental Office Service Units.� This will be for Indian Health Services at the various services for six (6) month period under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Terry Haney, DDS is a dentist educator for specific IHS continuing dental educational courses: �Basic Restorative Expanded Functions� and �Advanced Restorative Expanded Functions� (EFDA) for dental assistants. Terry Haney is the only provider for these types of educational training courses. The period of performance shall be for a one (1) year period. This will provide the opportunity for the Phoenix Area Office to schedule the additional Advanced Restorative Expanded Functions continuing education for Dental Assistants. It will cover a review of basic restorations and placement and finishing of Cusp Protected Amalgams and Class V composites. The Basic Restorative Expanded Functions continuing education to Dental Assistants will be held 11-15 September 2023. The presentation will cover a review of basic dental restorative materials and Placement and Finishing of Basic Amalgam and composite restorations. If you can provide the services requested, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the Agency and may be e-mailed to Michele.Lodge@ihs.gov referencing notice number PHX-SS-23-023 by 10AM, 4 August 2023. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract acquisition based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for information provided in response. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed. Information provided will be used to assess tradeoffs and alternatives available for the potential requirement and may lead to the development of a solicitation. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. Any solicitation resulting from the analysis of information obtained will be announced to the public in Federal Business Opportunities in accordance with the FAR Part 5. However, responses to this notice will not be considered adequate responses to a solicitation. No proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information should be included in your response. The Government reserves the right to use any non-proprietary technical information in any resultant solicitation(s).
