- Special Notice Special Notice Page 2 of 2 Special Notice *= Required Field Special Notice Page 1 of 2 NOTICE OF ITENT TO SOLE SOURCE. This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.101 requiring dissemination of information for proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22, located at 335 East Germann Road, Gilbert, AZ 85297 is issuing this Notice of Intent (NOI) to inform industry contractors of the Government s intent to execute a Sole Source Delivery Order under FAR Part 8, specifically FAR Part 8.405-6(a)(1)(B) and (C), Only One Available Source. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 339112, Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 6515, Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies. The Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard for this sector is 750 Employees. The intended Contractor is TrillaMed, located at 30100 Telegraph Road, Suite 366, Bingham farms, MI 48025. Place of Performance is the VA Albuquerque Healthcare System, 1501 San Pedro Dr SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. The medical center currently has Omnicell cabinets and components that are used in the pharmacy. These are leased systems which have been in place for two years. The facility intends to renew the lease contract to maintain operations as replacing the system would cause a significant disruption in services, significant cost to procure new items, and significant effort to train pharmacy personnel on a new system. This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and compelling evidence that the responding company can provide the same items/services, and that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The interested parties bear full responsibility to ensure complete transmission and timely receipt. The Department of Veterans Affairs will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent.
