Description

The 52nd Contracting Squadron, Spangdahlem AFB, Germany, intends to procure this requirement as a single source purchase order to Chemring Energetic Devices. This requirement is for the repair and/or maintenance of the Joint Combined Aircrew Systems Tester (JCAST) and the Altitude Combined Aircrew Systems Tester (ACAST). The JCAST and ACAST is used to test the critical safety of flight for Aircrew Flight Equipment (AFE) components used in conjunction with flying operations. This product and its parts are identified to be solely manufactured by, and proprietary of, Chemring Energetic Devices. No other authorized resellers or sources for this system, its parts, or its maintenance are known to the Government at this time.� This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures as authorized in accordance with IAW FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Governement not to compete this proposed contract lies solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. The anticipated award date is unknown.
