- Description
- The system shall meet or exceed the minimum requirements identified below. All items must be new.� Used or remanufactured equipment will not be considered for award. Experimental, prototype items will not be considered.� The use of �gray market� components not authorized for sale in the U.S. by the proposer is not acceptable.�� All line items shall be shipped in the original manufacturer�s packaging and include all original documentation and software, when applicable.��� The required ultra narrow single linewidth laser must meet the following technical specifications:� Ultra-narrow single linewidth laser.� 1. Shall provide ultra-narrow linewidth laser with an instantaneous spectral linewidth less than 7 Hz.� 2. Shall have output light wavelength centered at 1555.44 nm.� 3. Shall have frequency nose less than 30 Hz/?sqrt Hz (at 1 kHz offset).� 4. Shall have short-term stability no larger than 1E-9 at 1s integration time.� 5. Shall have frequency stability 100 MHz/ day or less.� 6. Shall have relative intensity noise less than -45 dBc/Hz at 10 MHz.� 7. Shall have mode hop free (single band) thermal tuning range larger than 30 GHz at 200 MHz/s thermal tuning rate.�� 8. Shall have non-continuous (multiple bands) thermal tuning range larger than 210 GHz.� 9. Shall have external control frequency modulation with bandwidth DC � 100 kHz (or larger), tuning sensitivity 10 � 25 MHz/V (or larger), and tuning range �(200 to 500) MHz (or larger).� 10. Shall have polarization extinction ration of 20 dB or more.� 11. Shall have side-mode suppression ration of 50 dB or more.� 12. Shall have output light must be coupled to PM-FC/APC (PANDA fibber, key aligned to Slow Axis), with output power (through the fiber) of 40 mW or more.� Market research was conducted and the only system able to meet all the specifications provided above is the system manufactured by OE Waves.� OE Waves does not have authorized resellers/distributors.� The North American Industry Classification code for this acquisition is 334515, Instrument Manufacturing for Measuring and Testing Electricity and Electrical Signals 750 employees.����� A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� No solicitation package will be issued.� This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations.� This notice of intent is not a request for quotations; however, all responsible sources interested may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Interested parties that believe they can satisfy the requirements listed above must identify their capability in writing before the response date of this notice.
