Description
The 42nd Contracting Squadron, 50 LeMay Plaza, Bldg 804, Maxwell AFB, AL is soliciting for a Virtual Live Simulation on behalf of the Air Command and Staff College (ACSC). This is a streamlined combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Questions & Answers 1) In section 2.3.2. it states: Ability to change scheduled Mixed Reality Live Simulation date and time within 48 hours if changes are needed. Does this mean the date and time can change at any time, even up until the session start time and there is no limit? A) This was written incorrectly and should have been written as: 2.3.2. Ability to change scheduled Mixed Reality Live Simulation date and time up to 36 hours prior if changes are needed. This has been updated in the SOW requirements and evaluation sections (please see attached SOW). 2) Will the quality of performance by the simulation specialist in the demonstration factor into who will be awarded the contract? Can this be added as part of what the award will be based on? A)This quality aspect is very important to us and is a main reason why we would like demos. Additionally, this quality aspect is encompassed in our three requirements below in addition to the quality of the actors themselves behind the avatars. 2.4.1.3 Experience working with multiple Air Force organizations. 2.4.1.4 Experience and knowledge of Air Force culture. 2.4.1.5 Experience and knowledge of Air Force specific terminology, acronyms, and jargon. 3) Should the Offeror submit past performance references? A)The SOW and solicitation does not require past performance references; however, the offeror may choose to include past performance references at their own discretion. 4)Is there a specific category, type, or theme of scenario you would like to see demonstrated? A)The most important thing we need to see is the execution of a military-related scenario using virtual/mixed-reality technology, and we need to be able gauge the offeror's actors (live specialists) understanding of the military context. 5) How long should the presentation be? A) Demos should aim to be around 5-10 minutes.
