- Description
- This agency proposes to issue a solicitation for a long-term strategic/sole source contract which will include multiple NSNs to support the A-BE; CH-47 Turbine Engine (T-55) weapon systems.� A total of fifteen (15) NSNs are targeted for this contract effort.� The proposed action is intended to be on a sole source basis with various contracts issued to other associated Contractor and Government Entity(s) (CAGEs) as supported by a J&A IAW FAR 6.302-1 �Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements�. The proposed sole source contract will be issued to Honeywell International CAGE: 02LU7. Items provided by the following Honeywell International CAGE Codes are covered by this acquisition: 91547, 02LU7, 99193 and 81996. The proposed requirement will be for a total of six (6) years period of performance. Letters expressing interest in subcontracting provided to the contracting officer will be forwarded to the identified OEM.� This is proposed to be a FAR 15 effort.� The proposed contract will be a firm fixed price (FFP) corporate Indefinite- Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The attached Identification of Requirements are the items that have been identified for this current action.� If other NSNs are subsequently added, as defined by the terms of the contract, they will be synopsized separately. These items are being added to the new Honeywell Joint Opportunities Contract, a multiple year, Requirements Type Contract, awarded to The Honeywell International in accordance with the originally approved J&A.� However, the NSNs identified here were not included in the list of original items synopsized for this effort.� The contract requires supply of parts, as well as other functions including but not limited to inventory management, forecasting, distribution, storage, reliability improvements, engineering maintenance and design control affecting these parts.
