Description

The USDA Forest Service (FS), Procurement & Property Services (PPS), Special Projects Operations Center (SPOC), Northwest Branch is issuing this synopsis as a means of complying with the USDA�s policy in the Contracting Desk Book, SUBPART 413.3�SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION METHODS, 413.303 Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs). The USDA FS intends on awarding a competitive BPA Call Order against multiple award schedule BPAs for Forestry Vegetation Management located at USDA�s Contract Portal, awarded against solicitation number: 1240BE22Q0074 for plantation thinning, pullback, pre-commercial thinning to a variable density, hand piling, grapple piling, burning of slash piles, mechanical thinning with mastication/slash busting, and other activities that coincide with this type of work. The purpose of this requirement is to secure services to grapple pile material on 452 acres, and 233 optional grapple pile acres within 24 units of National Forest Land on the Crescent Ranger District, Deschutes National Forest as part of a fuels reduction program. Treatment shall result in desired fuels reduction with minimum damage to reserve trees and soil.
