- Description
- The 407th Supply Chain Management Squadron (SCM) under the 638th Supply Chain Management Group (SCMG) manages all common avionics, as well as the Global Positioning System, Precision Attack, ground radio communications, Global Hawk, B-52, and E-3 Airborne Warning and Control Systems (AWACS) avionics systems. The 407 SCMS is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to perform obsolescence, reliability, and maintainability are consistent logistics concerns, especially for the aging weapons systems that have been operating in the challenging military environments. As fielded systems continue aging, reliability, maintainability, quality, supportability, and interoperability (RMQSI) issues become more apparent, highlighting the need for system redesigns, improvement, overhaul, procedural enhancements, security requirements, etc., to adequately sustain various systems to meet the challenges of the future.
