- Sources Sought Notice � M18 Smoke Grenade Colored Dyes The Army Contracting Command � Rock Island (ACC-RI) is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify potential sources having an interest and industry technologies available to provide the following: 1. Dye, Solvent Yellow 33, Type II CAS #8003-22-3, chemically known as 2-(quinolyl)-1,3-indandione. 2. Dye, Solvent Green 3, Type II CAS #128-80-3, chemically known as 1,4-di-p-toluidinoanthraquinone. 3. Dye, Disperse Red 9, type II CAS #83-38-2, chemically known as 1-methylaminoanthraquinone. 4. Dye Mix, Violet, Type II Uses CAS #81-63-0, chemically known as 1,4-diamino-2,3-dihydroanthraquinone. (Blue*) and #82-38-2 (Dye, Disperse Red 9) Commercially known as solvent Violet 47 Please also provide the following information: Terms and conditions Place of manufacture Cost estimates, for budgetary purposes only CAGE code and DUNS number What is the typical lead time after receipt of order? Please provide the source of supply for each of the precursor chemicals listed below. Please include country of origin and/or alternate sources. If multiple sources to make up any of the chemical listed below, please include the percent sourced from each supplier and its origin.� Quinaldine � Yellow Tech Quinizarin � Green Leuco Quinizarin - Green Sublimed Quinizarin - Blue Nitroanthraquinone (NAQ) - Red To the best of your knowledge, provide the manufacturing capability and capacity to produce the chemicals listed above.� Include manufacturing locations such as CONUS or OCONUS. If not solely manufacturing in CONUS, indicate what percentage of the chemicals listed above are produced OCONUS. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement if a requirement materializes. ELIGIBILITY The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 325130 with a Small Business Size Standard of 1000. SUBMISSION DETAILS Your response to this Sources Sought, including any capabilities statement, shall be electronically submitted to the Contract Specialist, Nick Brown, in either Microsoft Word or Portable Document Format (PDF), via email Nicholas.j.brown91.civ@army.mil no later than TIME on DATE and reference this sources sought number in subject line of e-mail and on all enclosed documents. Information and materials submitted in response to this request WILL NOT be returned. DO NOT SUBMIT CLASSIFIED MATERIAL. If your organization has the potential capacity to provide the required products/systems, please provide the following information: 1) Organization name, address, primary point of contact (POCs) and their email address, FAX, web site address, telephone number, and type of ownership for the organization; and 2) tailored capability statements addressing the requirements of this notice, with appropriate documentation supporting claims of organization and staff capability. If significant subcontracting or teaming is anticipated in order to deliver technical capability, organizations should address the administrative and management structure of such arrangements. All data received in response to this Sources Sought that is marked or designated as corporate or proprietary will be fully protected from any release outside the Government.
