- Description
- The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Cancer Institute (NCI), Center for Cancer Research (CCR), Spatial Tumor Biology Section of the Cancer Data Science Laboratory (CDSL) plans to procure, on a sole source basis, Spatial ATAC-seq (Assay for Transposase-Accessible Chromatin using sequencing) from: AtlasXomics, Inc. 290 Congress Ave. New Haven, CT 06519-1403 The response close date of the notice for this requirement is in accordance with FAR 5.203(b). This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 12 Acquisition for Commercial Items and will be made pursuant to the authority in FAR Part 13.106-1 (b)(1) and is exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6. The North American Industry Classification System code is 541380 (Testing Laboratories and Services) and the business size standard is 1000 Employees. CDSL has previously conducted research using Spatial ATAC-seq (Assay for Transposase-Accessible Chromatin using sequencing) during a pilot study through collaborations and now requires this specific technique to continue these research projects. The spatial ATAC-seq is a unique technology that can determine chromatin accessibility across the genome with an additional layer of spatial information. To NCIs knowledge, this platform generates the most robust epigenomic profiles within the spatial context at this time, and AtlasXomics is the only commercially licensed vendor that can currently perform spatial ATAC-seq which is a proprietary process developed by Yale University (PCT Patent Application No. PCT/US2021/065669) and is required to expand on CDSL efforts. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations.
